Working inside a short lock maintenance window

Lock closures are short and shared with other disciplines, so the dive sequence was agreed in advance and rehearsed dry on the quayside.

Debris was cleared from the gate recess first, then the seal fixings were released and the new seal fitted section by section under continuous surface communication.

The gate was cycled and checked before the lock reopened on schedule.
