Maritime constructions

On a waterfront construction site, everything above water is visible and measurable — and everything below it is taken on trust unless somebody goes down to look. Pile positions, verticality, bedding layers, scour at freshly driven sections, the seating of a precast element: each one is a hold point that can quietly cost weeks if it is discovered late.

We act as the underwater extension of the site team. That means attending planning meetings, working inside the contractor's permit and SIMOPS regime, being available on the days piling or lifting is scheduled, and delivering a same-day record of what was checked. Because the diver is on the programme rather than called in afterwards, problems surface while they are still cheap to solve.

At the end of the works the same team produces the underwater part of the as-built record: measured positions, levels, photos and video of the completed structure. For jetties, dolphins, mooring facilities and berth pockets that record is what the future asset manager will inspect against for the next twenty years.
